Verdict

Paddy Power has won plenty of races in his time and may not be finished yet judging by a close third here last time. Fircombe Hall finished just in front of him last time so he’s on the shortlist while Secret Equity has no real form on the all-weather but has shown definite improvement at Redcar the last twice and can’t get much lower in the weights. PATONTHEBACK has only had three runs and showed massive improvement at Lingfield a couple of weeks ago so further progress can see him make a successful handicap debut. Barrington has had 24 all-weather starts without winning but is now on his lowest-ever mark.
